Give her full support

I sincerely hope that the Prime Minister's Office and the relevant anti-corruption task force within the police's organisation will lend their full support to this woman constable who has had the courage to take on an institution entrenched in corruption. It can't have been an easy decision for her, knowing that her life would probably be threatened, that she would be isolated and reviled, as well as feeling hopeless because her case might never go anywhere.

I'm sure the policeman who raped her has done this horrible crime before, and will again. Please do not leave her out there in the cold by herself. She needs the support of those in authority who can give her a fair hearing.

Taking time

Can someone (respectfully) whisper into Mrs Portia Simpson Miller's ear that all her negative comments about the JLP's one year in office so far makes no sense? Has she forgotten it took her and her PNP cronies about 18 years to plunge the country into this mess? It will take a lot longer than one year to clean up the PNP's mess and set the country on the right path again.

Sex object at 13?

I think that Mrs Baker is missing the point. We are concerned that her picture was published wearing a skimpy outfit. What this does is to project her as a sex object at the age of 13. We are only concerned about her safety in a world where sexual prowlers look for little girls like this and misinterpret what they are doing. I hope that she will be successful in her modelling ambitions, but her safety and well-being come first.

Zero tolerance

After reading of Velma L. Hylton's reluctance to support aspects of the Government's proposed anti-crime measures, I'm wondering if anyone could be satisfied with the current crime epidemic. Zero tolerance is the only way to take control of the situation. If someone even spits on the sidewalk they should be prosecuted. In North America, where I currently reside, it works very effectively in many cities.
