Tips on buying children's clothes
published: Monday | September 8, 2008

Umbrellas are perfect during this rainy season and the young ones can have their own. In her casual purple and brown dress with matching slippers, Anna shows off under her umbrella beside Christian-David Gordon who shelters under his in his polo shirt and cargo pants.

Some simple tips to take into consideration when shopping for the tiny tots.

1. Always buy a size up when shopping for clothes, especially for newborns. You should avoid buying the exact size until they get around the age of two-three years when they slow down in growth .

2. When buying shoes, Osh Kosh is a brand to consider. This is because it has what is called a toe zone which shows if the shoes are the right fit. The toe zones which are found on the bottom of shoes are in line with the visual fit technology.

3 Always be aware of the climate and the fabric of the clothing. If both go against each other, this can result in the baby/toddler becoming uncomfortable.

4. And very importantly, clothing should be breathable and there should be enough room.

Tips provided by Michelle Gordon, owner of Boy O Boy.

They are having so much fun while sporting trendy styles.

Quite comfortable is Amanda-May in her predominantly green cotton dress accesorised with brown trimmings at the hemline. Comfort is critical for babies, hence her smile.

"You look so pretty in pink," says Christian-David Gordon to Anna Spencer. And looking quite pleased, she responds, "Thanks, you don't look so bad yourself in your plaid shirt and khaki cargo pants with those shoes to beat.
