Pennicook
Paul Pennicook, senior vice-president of sales and marketing of Air Jamaica, has resigned, The Gleaner has been reliably informed.
Pennicook joined the airline in mid-2006 after serving for three years as Jamaica's director of tourism.
A graduate of Cornell University in the United States, Pennicook has spent the last 35 years of his professional career in the hotel and travel industry.
He was president and chief executive officer of Couples Resorts International, where he spent six years.
Appointments
In 2001, he was appointed vice-president of the Jamaica Hotel and Tourist Association, and served as chairman of that organisation's marketing committee. His most recent appointment was chairman of the Emerging Markets Committee of the Jamaica Tourist Board.
The Gleaner was unable to confirm the reason for Pennicook's resignation from the cash-strapped airline. Calls to his phone yesterday went unanswered.
