You go, Usain!

1 Those ungracious American network commentators! Is it that they are worried that the accomplishments of Bolt will dwarf their only bright spark of the Olympics - Phelps' victories in the less glamorous pool events? You go, Usain. Gully Creepa, Nuh Linga, and whatever else you can as you celebrate your deserved victories.

$21-million vehicle

2 The vehicle originally cost $10 million but, with money flowing, and bling being in, the would-be purchaser wanted the latest in gadgetry and when it was all fitted to his specification and satisfaction, the price rose from $10 million to a cool $21 million. Now the transaction cannot be completed as the would-be purchaser hasn't got the funds to complete the deal and so the vehicle is still on the market bling and all, with a new price tag that the vendors are just a tad worried that they will have some trouble offloading.

4 The expected guests stayed away as they indicated that they would with some estimates putting the number of those who actually turned up to say farewell, numbering anywhere between the high-20s and the mid-30s. Some say he was surprised at the low turnout, others say they can't imagine why he was, as he was definitely not Mr Congeniality.

Tight security

5 He had an armour-plated vehicle as his preferred mode of transport at great cost to the institution. He also commanded at least two armed bodyguards. Onlookers are now dying to see if he will maintain the security and armour-plated vehicle now that he has been deposed!

Wanted: Counselling

6 Will someone step in and see to it that he gets counselling and therapy?

Cause for concern

7 There is cause for concern in some quarters as some insiders are complaining that the newly installed managers are behaving like 'The Raiders of the Lost Ark', instead of building bridges of confidence.

Real argument

8 Some are saying the real argument that engulfed the team was never really about the coach, but was all about trying to get the coach to stand down one of his athletes.

Email campaign

9 The latest email did nothing to help a campaign that onlookers say was struggling to find relevance and/or connectivity. And there are those who see the challenger and his security entourage as somewhat of an abuse of the system.
