Join the Olympic celebrations
published: Friday | August 22, 2008

On Saturday, when Jamaica completes its efforts at the 2008 Olympics in Beijing, China, it will be time to celebrate.

The Gleaner will be hosting an Olympic party at the newspaper's offices at 7 North Street, central Kingston, from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. All proud Jamaicans are invited to join the celebration.

Top selectors from Coppershot and Portmore's best, Area Code 876, will be spinning the wheels of steel and pumping up the party vibes along with a host of top-flight artistes.

The Olympic party will be hosted by star columnist, Miss Kitty, and top dancers such as Ice, Ravers Clavers, Shelly Belly, Keiva and others, will be on hand to show off their popular dances and new moves, including the dances dedicated to Usain Bolt and the Jamaican Olympic team.

Artistes such as 'Star of the Month' Elephant Man, RDX, Wayne Marshall, Etana and the Rising Stars contestants will be adding their unique vibe to the mix.

The party is sponsored by our friends at Digicel, Fruta, Best Dressed Chicken, Wray and Nephew, and Magnum.

To get in, you must bring a copy of today's WEEKEND STAR or the Saturday STAR.
