Three killed in Kitson Town traffic accident
published: Friday | August 22, 2008

A mother and daughter were among three people who died in a traffic accident along the Kitson Town main road in St Catherine Thursday.

Those dead are Pastor Astor Green, Marcia Francis and her four-year-old daughter Noella.

Reports from the police are that, about 10:30 a.m., Francis and her child were passengers in a bus driven by Green when, on reaching a section of the Kitson Town main road, a trailer driven by Richard Spencer in the opposite direction collided with the Toyota Hiace, killing the driver and the four-year-old on the spot. The mother was rushed to hospital where she later died.

The driver of the ill-fated truck fled the scene, but was caught, stabbed and handed over to the police where he remained in custody yesterday.
