The American Chamber of Commerce of Jamaica (AmCham) on Wednesday reassured its existing member companies that it pays to be a part of the organisation, and extended an invitation for new ones to come aboard.
The media launch and cocktail reception saw representatives from various companies coming out to hear and be reminded of all that is being offered by the organisation.
Overseas guests were also on hand and made presentations on some of their offerings, which companies under AmCham could take advantage of. Joe Garvey, president of the United States Market Development Group (USMDG), shared the benefits of partnering with his overseas company.
Business links
The USMDG, Garvey notes, helps companies in forging business links in overseas territories.
Locally, there are numerous advantages ranging from discounts to preferences received by being a member. Executive director of AmCham, Becky Stockhausen, emphasised the point that not only direct members can experience some of the benefits, but also employees and family members.
