Middlesex, Kent in Twenty20 Cup final
published: Sunday | July 27, 2008

SOUTHAMPTON, England (AP):

MIDDLESEX WILL meet Kent in the final of England's Twenty20 Cup final on Saturday after beating Durham by eight wickets.

Kent had already downed Essex by 14 runs at Southampton's Rose Bowl when Tyron Henderson smashed 59 off 21 balls to lead his team to 141 for two wickets and a meeting with the Spitfires that could earn a place in September's inaugural Champions League in India.

Durham never looked likely to reach the final after they struggled to 138-6 off their 20 overs, and Henderson guided his team to victory with 18 balls remaining.

"I enjoyed it because it got us the result, but quicker than we thought," Middlesex captain Ed Joyce said. "He's done that a few times for us this season."
