LETTER OF THE DAY - We need to protect our human rights
The EDITOR, Sir:IN YOUR editorial of July 24, 2008, ('More robust response to crime needed'), you endorse the prime minister's interference with habeas corpus as an effective anti-crime initiative.

What is wrong with Jamaica

The EDITOR, Sir:Recently, a number of very prominent Jamaican personalities have written positive articles about what is right with Jamaica.

The facts about abortion

The EDITOR, Sir: Please allow me to respond to some of the points raised by Professor McGaw-Binns in the issue of July 14, in which she advocates the legalisation of abortion.

For the safety of fishermen

The EDITOR, Sir:I would like to add my comments to what both the representative of the maritime agency and the JDF have said about our fishermen. I submit these for consideration.
