More diplomacy
It has become a common staple in our media diet that our Minister of Finance continues to 'shoot off' his mouth on sensitive issues.
He had become so accustomed to being a member of the Opposition that he cannot come to grips with the fact that he is now 'in control' and should act/speak with a little more diplomacy.
I am an admirer of his eagerness to serve his country but I think he is probably trying too hard to up his public rating and competence by speaking on things that he sees as earning him some stripes.
He just needs to relax, do his work and let his labour speak for itself. Simply put, stop bashing the previous administration, it is his time now and that is what matters. We need more action and less public outcry from the minister.

Unity call
Let me congratulate former minister, Karl Blythe, for reminding PNP leadership of the main reason why the PNP lost the last general election which landed the party into Opposition.
As a comrade I believe it is full time for the PNP leadership to be united. The PNP is the only party that brought about so many social changes to Jamaica and apparently there are comrades who for their own selfish reasons want to "mash up' the PNP.
The PNP, I am sure, remember the fractured JLP and what that led to. The PNP can't afford for this happen or they will be occupying the Opposition benches for a long time.

Appeal to sponsors
My name is Leah Brown, President of JamWest Connections of Los Angeles and Kingston, Jamaica. It is almost impossible for us to find sponsors for our second annual concert this year in Manchester, Jamaica, as so many major sponsors have stopped spending their sponsorship dollars on the island.
What's worse is that the local business heads are following suit, making it impossible for us to bring our artistes to Jamaica and promote the talents of the youths on the island and produce concerts here that will give hope to our musicians.
We need the Jamaican business community to step up and assist the talent of this country or Jamaica will lose the respect of world stages.
