If you are 'green gardener', reluctant to use chemicals but determined to beat the weeds and invasive plants getting comfortable in the garden, here is a tip: cut back any and all green parts of the plants. Every time the roots send up shoots, cut them down to ground level. Use scissors, if needed.Eventually, the roots will run out of energy and will die. If you allow the shoots to develop leaves you'll defeat the purpose because leaves will convert sunlight into energy for the roots. But you will eventually starve out the roots with constant and continual removal of shoots as soon as they appear.
pull the weeds
Yeah, I hear you. "Why not simply pull the weeds and invasive characters?' I hear you ask with perfect logic ... First, because some of these plants have deep roots and are difficult to pull out. Second, a bit of root may remain in the ground and manage to send out a shoot.
