Who was Douglas Chambers before he joined the JUTC?
published: Monday | June 30, 2008

CHAMBERS

Douglas Chambers, FCA, FCCA, was a member of both the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Jamaica (ICAJ) and the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants of England (ACCA). He was admitted as a member in Public Practice of both the ICAJ and the Public Accountancy Board of Jamaica in 1990, as one of the youngest persons at that time. Up to the time of his death, Chambers was a Fellow member of The Association of Certified Fraud Examiners.

The father of two worked in the accounting, auditing and consultancy field for over 21 years, covering a large cross section of businesses, before taking over the mantle at the JUTC. Chambers attended Kingston College, FVPT (St Maarten - Netherlands Antilles), and St George's College.
