A memorable occasion
published: Sunday | June 15, 2008

A smiling Simon and Kerry-Ann Casserly take their first walk as man and wife, to the delight of their invited guests. The couple exchanged vows on the picturesque grounds of Braco Great House in Trelawny on Saturday, June 7.

Western Bureau:

The rain could not prevent Simon and Kerry-Ann Casserly from basking in the elegant atmosphere at their wedding at Braco Great House in Trelawny on Saturday, June 7.

Aspects of a traditional wedding were omitted as the couple chose to exchange vows in an outdoor ceremony which saw a beautiful and unique array of flowers selected for their memorable occasion.

Kerry-Ann, who is a public relations manager for the SuperClubs hotel chain, absorbed each moment of happiness while she gracefully marched along a rose-covered aisle to meet Simon, who is a coach at the Jamaica Tennis Federation.

The groom was filled with excitement to kiss his bride after their vows, and his attempt was thwarted by Rev Owen Watson, much to the guests' delight. His second attempt was greeted with resounding applause from friends and relatives.

Despite the threat of rain, the couple's wedding went off smoothly, and guests left satisfied that their accomplishments and efforts to date augur well for the future.
