If you've ever travelled on Air Jamaica, chances are you've at least heard of Island Stylee.
The in-flight programme has received numerous awards for its depiction of Jamaica to those who intend to visit or have visited this part of the globe. Frame by Frame Productions (the show's creators) and Air Jamaica hosted a 10th anniversary reception on Tuesday at the Royal Jamaica Yacht Club.
CEO of Frame by Frame Max Earle said the programme's aim was to feed positive vibes to a negative world. According to Earle, there have been 124,800 shows, over 96,000 hours of programming and 20 million viewers over the decade.
He challenged everyone to be ambassadors for Jamaica and to speak with pride about the country, especially the media. Guests were even given a sneak preview of the new episode as well as learn about the website that will soon be launched.
Former Air Jamaica vice-president, Allen Chastanet (in absentia); Rachel Baker, the host of the show, and producer Diba Mohammed were all recognised for their work with the show.
Guests included Paul Pennicook, Sharon Henry, Michelle Wilson-Reynolds, Audrey Marks, Brian St Juste, Denise Hunt, Mark Thomas, Ian Lyn, Steven Ellis, Ayesha Creary and Kamal Bankay.
