SG: Which of your songs is your favourite?
MG: It is an older song. It is called More Than a Watchman. It means a lot to me. It was written early in my walk with God. It is based on Psalm 130. It is a cry to wait upon the Lord and to have God revealed to you. It was written in a rough time in my walk, where I was really questioning things. It is just one of those songs that live with me very deeply.
SG: Having left the secular world to sing songs about Jesus, do you look back sometimes and say 'did I do the right thing? I could have been earning so much more money?'
MG: I have been more productive and successful in Messianic music than I ever was in the secular music. The secular world is very fleeting, especially now. It's like everybody's shelf-life is a year and half. I feel very blessed that people in the body still want to hear from us.
SG: How many albums have you produced so far?
MG: We are not prolific in terms of our production of albums. We have seven albums. We have live CD and DVD, which is also a live concert in Toronto, Canada.
SG: What have you not yet done musically that you want to accomplish before long?
MG: There is nothing that I have as a dream to do. My dream is to be more productive in my later years than I was even my earlier years. That is really my dream - to just continue to produce songs. There are 150 Psalms in the scriptures, plus the scriptures themselves. I feel that there is a lot there to mine. In terms of what happens with that music, I would like to see it disseminated in the body even more.
