Bangshowbiz:

Queen Latifah is set to release her own fragrance. The Oscar-nominated Chicago star has become the latest celebrity to lend her name to a perfume, and will launch her scent with Parlux Fragrances, Inc, next year.

She said, "For me, beauty really does start on the inside. It's like a state of mind, a state of love, if you will.

"So, I see fragrance as just a natural expression of this state of love; scent expresses a woman's confidence and sensuality. It's how she embraces her body, her mind and her strength."

Parlux Fragrances, Inc is also responsible for distributing the fragrances of other celebrities including Paris Hilton, Jessica Simpson and tennis superstar Andy Roddick.

Received critical acclaim

Queen Latifah, real name Dana Elaine Owens, is also a celebrity spokesperson for Cover Girl cosmetics, Curvation ladies underwear and Jenny Craig diet foods.

The 38-year-old actress received critical acclaim for her role as Mamma Morton in the hit 2002 movie Chicago alongside Renee Zellweger and Catherine Zeta-Jones.

She has since starred in romantic comedies Last Holiday and Mad Money with Katie Holmes and Diane Keaton.
