Jamaica-Cuba eye care enters Phase Two

The Jamaica-Cuba Eye Care Programme yesterday began screening under Phase Two of the project in Kingston and St Andrew.

The screening is to continue until June 13.

According to an advertisement in The Sunday Gleaner, under Phase Two of the project, islandwide screening will be carried out on a parish-by-parish basis over a period of 10 to 15 days.

All Jamaicans with cataract, strabismus (cross-eyed), pterygium and ptosis (drooping eyelids) can benefit from this programme.

May 26-29: Jamaica Society for The Blind,

Old Hope Road

May 30 and June 2:

Edna Manley Health Centre

June 3-6:

FISH Eye Clinic,

Gordon Town Road

June 9-13:

Kingston Public Hospital
