Online from the Cote d'Ivoire
published: Saturday | May 24, 2008

To: Garfield Grandison, Editor

Dear Garfield:

I thought you would be interested in seeing the attached email. It's from the Cote d'Ivoire in Africa. It shows how far the online Gleaner reaches! It reads as follows:

"Please pardon the fact that I do not write to you in English. I am in the Cte d'Ivoire where we speak French and my English is poor. Thank you for your article of May 7 dealing with the importance of sacrifice. I read it online from The Gleaner's website. I really benefited from reading that article and would love to know more about that subject.

Please accept this as a gesture of my sincerity.

May God bless you.

- Nelson Kudjo Hiamey"

I will have to tell you that I do receive several emails as a response to 'Dollar For Your Thoughts'. Many are too personal to share publicly, others seek my help on counselling. The few I send you are only a sample of what I receive.

All the best, Tony

I am, etc.,

TONY WILLIAMSON
