Nothing petrifies me more than croaking lizards - their transparent skin, black eyes, the way they move and of course, the awful sound they make when they fall from the ceiling or wall.
A few Sundays ago, I was in my kitchen and went into my cupboard and saw the feet of one sticking out from behind a board. I quickly went for the insect spray.
Opening the door again, I saw the head peeping out. Taking aim, I sprayed. Suddenly, there was a flash of white mass in front of my face. I swear this thing sprung around and jumped at me.
Screaming, I ran out of the kitchen (having no idea where it went) and changed my top (fearing it might have been on my clothes).
I laid in bed with my heart in my throat and I could have sworn I saw it on my stomach, so I jumped out of bed screaming.
Thinking I was being attacked, my neighbour's son called and then came over. We searched from top to bottom and until now, we have not found the thing.
I have stuffed every possible opening and do a house sweep everynight as soon as I get home.
