NCB Capital Markets polo

The prestigious NCB Capital Markets Limited High Goal Challenge Polo Tournament takes place at the Kingston Polo Club, Caymanas Estates, this Sunday with four participating teams.

Plans for the event were outlined by representatives of NCB Capital Markets Limited and the Jamaica Polo Association at Monday's launch at the NCB Wellness Centre, Phoenix Avenue.

At 14 goals, the prestigious tournament will be held under the auspices of the Jamaica Polo Association and is the highest handicapped in Jamaica's polo.

The participating teams are NCBCM Gold comprising the Argentinian Jose Lartirigoyen (5 goals), Kurt Chin (4), Shane Chin (2) and Tommy Martinez (3).

NCBCM Blue - The Argentinian Tomas Gandara (5), Jamaicans Andy Vernon (4), John G. Byles (3) and the island's most celebrated female player, Lesley Fong-Yee (2).

NCMCM White - The Argen-tinians Francisco Pandro (4) and Juan Humbert (3), as well as the Jamaicans Alexander Melville (3) and James Robertson (3).

NCB Black - The Argentinian Jorge Donovan (6), along with Jamaicans Mark Wates (4), Paul Lalor (3) and Raymond 'Mitta' Rousseau (1).

The first ball will be thrown in at 10:30 a.m. on Sunday by Patrick Hilton, group managing director, NCB Jamaica Limited. This will precede the official parade by the players at the 10 o'clock start.
