In the abyss of indiscipline
published: Thursday | May 1, 2008

The Editor, Sir:

I am more than appalled to see what is happening in the school system. We are now in the abyss of indiscipline which is causing despair and leaves everyone to open their mouths in awe.

It seems like teachers are being trodden underneath and indiscipline and dangerous children rule. It is time that students are made to know their place. Not that they cannot be heard, but they should not rule the society in the manner that they are now attempting to.

Discipline the children

We need to take strict action with our children, teach them discipline and how to respect their peers and elders. Take them to church and tell them about the creator and I believe things would not be so bad. But most are let loose like 'leggo beast', caught up with the wrong crowd and with no notion where they are are going in life. Parents, would you like to hear children booing you? How would you feel and what would you do?

Children are booing principals and a teacher has been jailed for corporal punishment that was applied in order to take that same child out of trouble; this looks like a dilemma.

We should all be concerned.

I am, etc.,
