People's National Party (PNP) more united than ever - Simpson Miller
published: Wednesday | April 30, 2008

People's National Party (PNP) President Portia Simpson Miller has rejected claims that the party was in disarray.

Simpson Miller was responding to questions from journalists as the party launched the celebration of its 70th anniversary at its Old Hope Road headquarters in St Andrew yesterday.

The reported leadership rift in the party was an issue which the PNP hierarchy obviously did not want to address at yesterday's media briefing.

United against challenges

However, the party's top brass was forced to address the issue.

With PNP vice-president Dr Peter Phillips at her side, Simpson Miller declared that the PNP would be united to face any challenge.
