The Ministry of Labour is advising the public that the following work permit fees become effective April 28.1. Application fee
Every application for the grant of a work permit or for exemption therefrom shall be accompanied by a non-refundable application fee of $14,400 or US$200.
2. Work permit ID card
A fee of $7,200 or US$100 to replace a work permit identification card which is lost, stolen or destroyed.
3. Work permit fees
(a) A work permit granted for a period of up to three months - $27,000 or US$375
(b) A work permit granted for a period of more than three months but not more than six months - $54,000 or US$750
(c) A work permit granted for a period of more than six months but not more than nine months - $81,000 or US$1,125
(d) A work permit granted for a period of more than nine months but not more than 12 months - $108,000 or US$1,500
(e) A work permit granted for any period in excess of one year - $108,000 or US$1,500 for the first 12 months and $27,000 or US$375 for each three-month period thereafter or any part thereof.
The ministry said the information provided will help applicants to be better prepared in making any submission to its work permit programme.
