MOU3 to be signed today
published: Friday | April 18, 2008

THE GOVERNMENT is set to ink the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU3) with some unions representing public sector workers today at Jamaica House.

A press advisory issued by the ministry of finance and the public service last night stated that Audley Shaw, portfolio minister, and Dwight Nelson, minister without portfolio, will sign the agreement with the Jamaica Confederation of Trade Unions.

Prime Minister Bruce Golding is expected to speak at the signing.

Some unions, including the Jamaica Teachers' Association and the Nurses' Association of Jamaica had indicated they would not be signing the accord.
