A Cold front that moved across the island generated moderate to heavy showers mainly over northeastern parishes. The Office of Disaster Preparedness and Emergency Management (ODPEM) is advising the public that extensive rainfall has resulted in flooding in some sections of St Ann. The ODPEM is currently monitoring the situation and is on standby to provide the necessary assistance.

FLOOD-SAFETY TIPS

Do not attempt to cross flooded roadways.

Listen to your radio to keep informed.

Do not walk outside barefooted during or after flooding.

Bury all dead animals as soon as possible.

Move your refrigerator, stove and furniture to a higher floor.
