Hill
Charges are expected to be laid against Cash Plus boss Carlos Hill this morning in connection with his failed alternative investment scheme.
Attorney-at-law Hugh Thompson said yesterday that a bail application will be made tomorrow for Hill, his brother Bertram Hill and Cash Plus Chief Financial Officer Peter Wilson.
Last week, detectives conducted a pre-dawn operation at the Norbrook, St Andrew home of Hill and confiscated several documents, computers and other assets.
The police said the men's arrests follow several complaints by investors that they have not been able to encash cheques paid to them by Cash Plus Limited.
Investors have also complained that they have not been able to get back money they invested in the company.
Head of the Major Investigations Task Force, Assistant Commissioner Les Green, said the police would be seeking help from foreign investigators to determine if Hill has other assets overseas.
Meanwhile, the Major Investigations Task Force will today be holding another press conference in relation to its investigations into the failed investment club.
