The Jamaica Netball Association (JNA)/Berger Paints Super League competition resumes today at the Leila Robinson Courts, this after last week's matches were abandoned due to rain.
In the day's feature game, defending champions Jamalco will oppose sister team Windalco, starting at 7:30 p.m.
In other games slated to start at the same time, Open Rally champions Tivoli Gardens 'A' battle Jetsetters 'A', Arnett Gardens tackle Waulgrovians 'A' and Molynes United 'A', challenge Police 'A' at 6:15p.m.
Jamalco are seeking their third consecutive victory and Winston Nevers, Jamalco's coach who also assists in coaching Windalco, is expecting an exciting game.
"These are two very good teams and I love when they meet because they have different styles of playing and they are also very competitive," said Nevers.
defending champions
"We are the defending champions and we have been playing quality netball so far this season and with the depth and experience of these players, we should be able to win this game easily," Nevers pointed out.
Nevers added that strong point of his team is in the attacking area and foresees his team getting an advantage with national players Elaine Davis and Mesha Reid.
Davis and Reid should receive solid support from national representatives, centre Nadine Bryan and goal defence Nicole Aiken.
Kevin Grant, assistant coach of Windalco, is very optimistic in his team's chances.
"I am very confident that we can win this game," said Grant. "I think it is going to be a very competitive game.
"However, we know that Jamalco are the defending champions, but all we have to do is go out there and execute what we have done in training."
Grant added: "We will be relying heavily on our two experienced shooters, Diana Millwood and Viola Francis, because they have been doing an excellent job for us so far this season."
