NCB Masters League

The NCB 24-Hour Top-Up Masters League continues this afternoon with a lone game at the Compound - Harbour View against Shortwood.

In tomorrow's matches, at Bell Chung Oval, Kush face Kingston Commissioners at 3:00 p.m. while at 4:30 p.m., Christian Ambassadors take on 2006 champions Nautica of St Catherine.

Over at Constant Spring Oval, hosts Constant Spring tackle MV Exodus (3:00 p.m.) and at 4:30 p.m. Rae Town await Thunderbolts.

At Winchester Park, JDF play Professionals (3:00 p.m.), and at 4:30 p.m., Maxfield and St Georges square off.

At Buttercup Park, Santos play Telecom Strikers at 3:00 p.m. and Real Mona entertain Lion King (4:30 p.m.).

Over at Duhaney Park, Packers will play Washington Strikers (3:00 p.m.) and defending champions Park Rovers take on Brown's Town at 4:30 p.m.

Harbour View got their season off on the right foot at the Compound on Tuesday night when they outplayed Telecom Strikers to win 3-0.

Central midfielder Owen Kirk-land, Kenroy Knibbs and The Gleaner's Assistant Sports Editor, Audley 'Coco' Boyd struck for Harbour View.

Fullbore shooting

The Jamaica Rifle Association will host the West Indies Fullbore Shooting competition over seven days - April 28 to May 4, at the Twickenham Park JDF Range.

Under the distinguished patronage of the Chief of Staff of the Jamaica Defence Force (JDF), Major General Stewart Saunders, teams from Guyana, Trinidad and Tobago, Barbados, Bermuda and Jamaica will be competing.

A team from the United Kingdom, which will be touring the Caribbean at that time, along with sides from Antigua and Barbuda, Canada and the United States have also been invited. More than 50 shooters are expected to participate in the competition which has been in existence for more than 30 years with the host country rotating each time the competition is held.

Marlie Mountthrash St Catherine

Marlie Mount recorded the week's biggest win, a crushing 46-0 victory over St Catherine, as action continued in the Insports/ JABA St Catherine Basketball League.

In a second match, Marlie Mount continued their dominance, beating St Catherine 34-2.

In other matches, Horizon Park got the better of Mount Moreland. In the first match, Horizon Park came away with a 4-4 draw, but returned to win the second 6-1.

Earlier, Marlie Mount beat St John's 14-12 and 13-6 and Spanish Town defeated Angels 20-2 but lost 8-7 in the second match.

Hotel domino

The 2008 renewal of the all-island hotels domino competition, coordinated by the Western Hotels Sports Association, shuffles off this afternoon with six matches.

Former champions Half Moon Hotel face newcomers Iberostar Rose Hall Beach Hotel, Sandals Negril Beach Resort and Spa host Couples Swept Away Negril, the latter are returning after a few years absence.

Grand Lido Negril Resort and Spa take on sister property Hedonism II in a match that could go either way and one of the favourites for this year's title, Starfish Trelawny, host a very good Tryall Hotel team in the feature match of the day.

Also, defending champions Grand Lido Braco Resort and Spa host sister property Hedonism III, one of the beaten semi-finalists last year St Ann Jamaica Bauxite Partners entertain newcomers Gran Bahia Principe at the Port Rhoades Sports Club in Discovery Bay, St Ann.

All matches start at 4.00 p.m.

On Monday, Tryall Hotel host Breezes Montego Bay in a match scheduled to start at 4.00 p.m.

Mason Hall beat Boscobel

Mason Hall Primary easily brushed aside Boscobel Primary in the lone football game played at the Eden Park Sports Complex in Jacks River, St Mary, this week in the IST Primary Schools League. Courtesy of six goals from Nikalia Byfield, a hat-trick from Tashana Scott, a double strike by Dominique Hylton and a goal each from Seranne Sutherland and Nicoya McLean, Mason Hall trounced Boscobel 13-0.

Wray & Nephew skittles

Fed Cup kicks off with 12 teams, including newcomers Mercury and Mr C from Spanish Town, slated to contest the 2008 Wray & Nephew/Federation Cup Skittles league which gets under way tomorrow at Mystix Sports Bar, 78 3/4 Hagley Park Road, starting at 1:00 p.m.

The competition will be launched with two opening matches. In the first match at 1:30 p.m., Waltham Strikers oppose Mr C in the Major League, while at 4:00 p.m., defending champions Rowe's Strikers take on the home team Mystix in Premier League action. As was the case last year, the competition has been divided into two with the six top seeded teams contesting the Premier League and the bottom six the Major League. The Premier League comprises Rowe's Strikers, the recent Pattex Cup champions Meadowvale from Portmore, Cherry's Strikers, Eastern All-Stars, Dragon and, of course, Mystix.

Teams in the Major League are Waltham, House of Peace, Olympic Strikers, Mr C, Mercury and The Dip from Portmore. Each team will play each other three times - home and away, and also at a neutral venue.
