Meadhaven favoured to get by Police National

Meadhaven United will be seeking to extend their eight-point lead in the Victoria Mutual Building Society/Kingston and St Andrew Football Association Super League competition when they entertain Police National (16) at Michigan Oval today, starting at 3:30 p.m.

Meadhaven United have been in terrific form all season and continue to dominate the standings on 49 points, followed by second-place Bull Bay (37) who have remained true to form and are still in hot pursuit of the top spot. Bull Bay will host bottom of the table Rockfort (3) at Bull Pen.

In the league's other matches, third-place Jamaica Defence Force (28) will host Cavalier (21) at Up Park Camp in what is expected to be a battle royal, Constant Spring (13) will oppose Maverley/Hughenden (15) and Mountain View United will travel to Duhaney Park. Santos (21) will be the rest team.

In the Major League competition, group leaders Real Mona (41) will entertain Swallowfeild (20) at the Stadium East field, while second-place Liguanea United (32) will oppose third-place Olympic Gardens (23) at Cling Cling Oval.

In other matches, the University of Technology (11) will face Cooreville Gardens (14), Seaview Gardens (18) will play Rae Town (21) and Barbican (15) will host Brown's Town (14) at the Barbican field. Central Kingston (18) will be the rest team.

Port Royal (29) continue to maintain their five-point lead in the Syd Bartlett League and will be the rest team for today's games. Second-place Meadforest (24) will play Maxfeild Park (17) at Queensborough and third-place Molynes United (21) will take on Shortwood United (15) at Shortwood College. Island Special Constabulary Force (15) will host Pembroke Hall (12) at Kingston Technical High.

All matches are scheduled to begin at 3:30 p.m.
