Members of the public are being advised that police personnel will be placed at strategic locations in the Corporate Area to ensure free movement of pedestrian and vehicular traffic during the staging of this year's Jamaica and Bacchanal Carnival street parades to be held tomorrow.
The public is being advised that during the movement of the parades, no distribution of souvenirs and other gratis items will be allowed as such action could compromise the safety of the public.
No motorcyclists, pedal cyclists or handcarts will be allowed in the parades. The police are advising motorists to utilise designated parking areas, as failure to comply could result in motor vehicles being towed away. These vehicles will be taken to the Police Traffic Headquarters, 16 Lower Elletson Road, for safe keeping. Children who are separated from their guardians and are found by the police will be taken to the following police stations: Matilda's Corner, Half-Way Tree, Stadium and New Kingston.
