Zacca still leads PSOJ

Zacca

Christopher Zacca was on Tuesday unanimously re-elected as president of the Private Sector Organisation of Jamaica (PSOJ), for a second successive term.

He received a vote of confidence from his fellow council members at their scheduled quarterly meeting which was held at the PSOJ's Hope Road office in St Andrew.

In expressing his appreciation on being asked to lead the umbrella private sector organisation for another year, Zacca thanked the council members for their continued support for him and, even more important, for the organisation and its programmes.

On reviewing the previous year, he said it had been one filled with challenges and opportunities.

Also elected at Tuesday's council meeting were the following members who will serve as officers:

Vice-Presidents

Mark McKenzie (chief executive officer, Red Stripe)

Richard Chen (director, Super Plus Food Stores)

William McConnell, (managing director, Wray & Nephew Group and Lascelles de Mercado Co Ltd)

Honorary Treasurer

Joe Taffe (acting chief executive officer, GK Investments)

In addition to the officers, the executive committee will have the following associations as members:

Jamaica Bankers' Association

Jamaica Exporters' Association

Jamaica Employers' Federation

Jamaica Hotel & Tourist Association

Institute of Chartered Accountants of Jamaica

Shipping Association of Jamaica

Small Businesses Association of Jamaica.
