Street boys need help
published: Thursday | March 13, 2008

THE EDITOR, Sir:

What is being done about the children on the street, especially at the stoplight at Waterloo Road and Devon House? I am a woman and my belly bottom burns to see them on the streets, some at the Parish Church at Half-Way Tree and at the Kingston Harbour downtown.

I have two boys, 14 and 16 years old, and I can't tell Mr Editor if that is the reason why I have this burden for these children. I feel their pain. I hope the day will come when I can make some worthwhile contribution to some children's home or the other. Somebody should at least try to do something. Some of them, it seems, don't even remember or know how it feels to be hugged; and some are left to become victims of perverts.

I am, etc.,

Joan S. Miller
