Free health care
published: Friday | March 7, 2008

The Editor, Sir:

Regarding free health care in Jamaica, I am happy to read about it.

The people who are most opposed to it are the ones who have made millions off the backs of sick people who have no choice (pay up or die) and they now see some of their revenues drying up, so they are bringing up all these scare tactics.

The powers that be should take a look at countries with free health care to see and learn how they do it, and then try and apply some of it to Jamaica.

This is a great start for Jamaica, because the people, especially the poor and the down-and-out, can get to see a doctor or nurse without using their food, clothing and shelter money to pay for it.

I am, etc.,
