Sick of behaviour in schools
published: Sunday | March 2, 2008

The Editor, Sir:

I must congratulate you for your article this morning (Friday) in The Gleaner about the sex act at a high school. I got the email with the video and before it finished I became so upset I deleted it and did not forward it to anyone else. I cannot believe that these students carried out that act in the full view of little children and that the principal of that school has not even said anything about it to this day.

That principal must be aware cause we are surely not living in the dark ages, and all schools have computers, with Internet access and he must have known about it.

Uncaring teachers

I think the problem filters down from uncaring teachers and parents. How can students be so free during school hours, where are the teachers who should be supervising them. These students have too much free time in school to carry out these sick acts, and I think they should be severely punished by the authorities, It's a shame and disgrace. I am so sick I wait to see what will be the outcome and I hope you will continue to highlight these things and also follow them up to see the outcome.

Keep up the good work.

I am, etc.,
