Coming on the heels of the recent Sugar Cane Carnival at the Round Hill Hotel was the pleasant Hanover Charities polo event, which took place two weekends ago.
Together with Chukka Caribbean, the Hanover Charities hosted its first polo event this year. The field of play was opened by Willie Delisser some 54 years ago.
The exhilarating game saw the underdogs Round Hill crowned victors in a game where they trailed for most of the time. It seemed Round Hill's demise was sure, until the final moments of the match when they made an incredible comeback from six-three to even the score six-six.
In the dying moments, Lesley Ann Masterton of the Round Hill team scored the winner.
The ladies present were a feast for the eyes with their trendy and beautiful attire. Hats are usually sported for such affairs, and Kerry Ann Clarke, Jeanne Robinson, Kathryn Toler and Sheila Khiatani chose some eye-catching ones.
Other polo fans who came out were: Minister of Industry, Commerce and Investment Karl Samuda, former model Sandra Bicknell, Déjà vu's Raj and Neha Kriplani, former heavyweight boxing champion Lennox Lewis, Sandals CEO Adam Stewart, among others.
