Man-of-the-Match Marlon Samuels drives Tonito Willett.
JAMAICA BATSMAN Marlon Samuels continued his rich vein of form from South Africa with a Man-of-the-Match performance in Jamaica's quarter-final victory against Nevis in the Stanford Twenty20 tournament last Saturday evening.
Samuels ran out the dangerous Javier Liburd and claimed two wickets for a miserly 21 runs off his four overs as Jamaica restricted Nevis to 121 for eight off their 20 overs.
In Jamaica's successful run chase, Samuels made a quick-fire 46 off 39 balls. His innings included five fours and two sixes and helped Jamaica chase down the target with 14 balls to spare.
On the recent Test tour of South Africa, Samuels averaged 52.33 for the West Indies with a century and two half centuries in the three matches he played.
Samuels will be back in action for Jamaica tonight as they take on Guyana in the second semi-final in Antigua.
