Making a phone call to a loved one is a great way to show that you appreciate them. - Photo by Stephanie Lyew
Treat yourself to junk: junk food, that is. It's one of those guilty pleasures, especially if you have been on a rigid diet for quite some time. Don't overindulge yourself but try to do this at least once a week. Furthermore, it's your money and you need to spend some of it on yourself. So whether it's ice cream or fast food, treat yourself to something special.
Reminisce
Try dusting off that old photo album and take a look into the past. Life has become so hectic and we often neglect the past. Doing this will bring back old memories of struggles, success and most important, growth. It is amazing to see yourself in a primary school uniform and now you are all grown up.
It also helps us to refresh our memories of deceased loved ones. Perhaps it was a grandaunt or a grandfather who played a pivotal role in your life. Looking at their pictures should bring back fond memories.
Make a call
Check up on someone who has played a significant role in your life. Whether it is a teacher or an old friend, calling them is a great way to say thank you. It is a gesture that suggests you still remember them and you appreciate what they have done for you.
