High school outfits have been tuning up for the 32nd running of the Gibson Relays which speeds off today at the National Stadium. A major meet on the local athletics calendar, Gibson Relays facilitates track and field teams in fine-tuning their routines and hit qualifying times. And for Jamaican high schools, it's a great dry run ahead of the big event, Boys and Girls Championships, in March.

One of the top hurdlers at the schoolboy level, Warren Weir, leads the Calabar team in a warm-up session earlier this week.

St Andrew High's Nicola Edwards (left), Tashana Riley (centre) and Kemoy Maise go through their paces at Stadium East as they sharpen techniques and fitness for Gibson, one of the staple events on Jamaica's athletics calendar.
