DOs & DON'Ts:'Book' your spot
published: Saturday | February 23, 2008

Reading is something some of us do only when it is necessary, especially because TV, Internet and video games tend to have the bigger pull.

But there are times when a great book or magazine comes along and forces us to drop everything and start reading. You've got a great new book/magazine, you are dying to read. Where do you go to read it?

You keep it on your nightstand as a great way to unwind after a stressful day.Do: 80% Don't: 20%

"I usually keep a book on my bedside table to read. It makes it much easier for me to get to it when I'm in the mood for reading, and I can close my door and read for the whole night," says Samantha.

You carry it with you to work to read while you are having lunch.Do: 50% Don't: 50%

"I usually carry my book to work to read during my spare time, but not lunch. At lunchtime, I am trying to get something to eat. I don't really care how nice the book is," says Tashi.

You take it with you to your favourite couch in the living room.Do: 65 % Don't: 35%

"I can't really do that because the television is in there and that's just too much distraction," says Aleisha.

Take it with you to the bathroom to relax your mind.Do: 80% Don't: 20%

"Me is a man that don't read much, especially books. But when I get a magazine that I like, I usually head straight for the bathroom, even if I don't have any reason to go. That way you won't be disturbed," says Mikey.

Read it while at your favourite park so you can also enjoy the open air.Do:45% Don't: 55%

"Oh yes, I definitely do that. For some strange reason, I read better in open air. Sometimes people see you and you are smiling or grinning to yourself and they think you crazy," says Claudia.
