THE MINISTRY of Education says it will take an extensive look at its textbook review process to eliminate errors that might enter the classroom through educational material.
In a news release on Saturday, the ministry said it was eager to secure the credibility of its textbook review and approval process. This comes against the background of an admission by the ministry that a social studies textbook containing errors of fact was not picked up during the review process. The ministry says the New Integrated Approach Social Studies Workbook 5, which contained the errors, was replaced in September 2007 by the Caribbean Neighbours Year 5, published by Carlong Publishers.
