Freedom
published: Sunday | February 17, 2008

At last I'm free

Free to see the world as it was meant to be,

With my eyes ... I can clearly see what all along was only news to me.

I was led to believe I had the best ...

Wrapped in a beautiful box and delivered with expertise

Only such a gift was also filled with hurt and misery.

I thought it was grand and never ending

meant to last and comfort my heart ....

But the pain I face in its name was imprinted forever.

Now this gift has out worn its use

Tossed aside like a broken toy

So that for once I can revel in the life I now enjoy ...

Freedom at last.

Dream

Lesley-Ann, I have found you,

but the sky still cries.

I have dreamed of you,

but my desire still sighs.

Though my lips yearn to touch yours

My skin crawls to be against your's so tight.

Eyes wandering ... as your magic is strong,

your poison is long.

Without you I am ...

a dreamer lost in a dream.

Never wanting to leave from my sleep.

As life in this world has you not in mine.

So I am lost in my dream for all of time,

holding you tight, I look in your eyes,

kissing every inch of your body so right,

my hand touches your neck ever so light

as I make love to you and whisper in your ears

I have found you,

but the sky still cries.

I have dreamed of you,

ever since that time.

I yearn for your touch this very night,

but when I awaken you're never near.

My heart starts to cry this dream a nightmare.

My Cry

I sat down and wept, like I've never done before.

My heart was bleeding as if it was in broken pieces. I felt like this for days, weeks, months, years; the pain was just so constant.

My sleep it has been filled with live dreams, as I hear the cry of babies and children being killed, of mothers weeping.

Lord we cry out to you! For too long have we been quiet, too long have we let your people suffer, too long we' ve allowed our children to lose their innocence.

I cry Lord and I weep.

The pain so constant, the bleeding heart.

The dreams are nightmares, the cries of the dead...

Rescue us, we pray!

I cry Lord and I weep.

Night Steals Upon The Earth

Night steals upon the Earth

Like rain on a sunny day

When no dark cloud foretells the story

Nor heavy wind advertises the sale

Night steals upon the Earth

Like the aftertaste of fruit

That bittersweet memory of what was eaten

The remembrance of something forgotten

Night steals upon the Earth

Like sleep to a tired body

The sun says goodbye and heads west

Until tomorrow when its face appears

on the opposite side

A silver guardian takes its place

Casting an ash-grey glow

Muting the colours the day highlighted

Marching a lonely dark vigil in the sky

Night steals upon the Earth

Like an abrupt ending to a story

Like the words after a misplaced comma

Like a hero that turns into a villain

Night steals upon the Earth

Like a new day following dawn

The sun will say hello and raise its head

The other side will smile, tomorrow will come.

The Feeling

The feeling I get is like no other

The feeling of love, joy and happiness.

The feeling of blessing, hope and great gain

fills my heart and will remain.

The feeling of sorrow, futility and fear has been rubbed thin and worn away.

Free, free, free, that's the feeling I get with thee.

I feel at home ready to roam.

Oh how great a feel to me!

If beauty is only skin deep, where is your flesh or your bone?

Your features so well defined.

Beautiful eyes that seem to stare so deep within.

Smooth, soft skin oh how they fondle my spirit and yes

Gives me the feeling.

Oh companion of mine

Your sweet words of endearment have taken a hold and captured my soul.

Oh, how good it feels to be in love with thee.
