DOs & DON'Ts - When someone calls your significant other
published: Saturday | February 16, 2008

Your significant other is in the shower and the cellphone rings. You pick up the phone and look on the screen, only to see the name of someone you do not know. What would you do?

We asked 20 persons this question. Check out their responses.

1. Let it go to the voicemail.

Do: 70% Don't: 30%

"I'll allow the call to go to voicemail since my husband is a businessman and has a lot of female clients," says Claudia.

2. Pick it up and demand to know who it is and why they are calling.

Do: 65% Don't: 45%

"Don't, because you can come off looking like an idiot when you find out it's nothing more than a friend or a family member," says Leighton.

3. Tell him someone called and ask him/her who the person is.

Do: 40% Don't: 60 %

"I'll do so if the person keeps on calling and they are not getting through. I'll probably suspect something then, and then ask him," says Cee.

4. Knock on the door and give him/her the phone.

Do: 75% Don't: 25%

"Don't; let her answer her own phone, that way she won't answer mine," says Leighton.

5. Hang up the phone as soon as you see that it is someone you don't know.

Do: 15% Don't: 85%

"Don't; that is being rude and showing the girl that she has power over you. Hell no," says Nadia.
