Issue: Let the law take its course
published: Saturday | February 16, 2008

I "know" I am taking a bold step in speaking on behalf of the majority on the issue of the 'Cuban light bulb scandal'. In instances where a wrong is committed, the accused remain the focus of the courts until he/she is proven guilty or innocent.

We need this issue to come to an end and Mr Spencer be found innocent or guilty of the accusations laid against him so that we can focus our energy elsewhere.

Let's not lose sight until the matter is fully resolved and those who are to be held accountable be brought to public view and our legal system takes it course.

The land issue between Mr Peart and Mr Shaw is another matter entirely and should be treated as such. Let's resolve the issues as they come as we are known to raise many and resolve just a few (if any at all).

An honest man

Kern Spencer is a true, honest and dedicated member of the PNP. It's blatantly obvious to me he has been used as a scapegoat.

The Spencer family has no need to embezzle funds in this way, they are a large family who have their own monies, and they have always been financially stable and done well for themselves. I am a first cousin to Kern.
