SHAHID, who won the sixth race in fine style at Caymanas Park on Saturday, was among eight horses claimed on the 11-race programme.

The nine-year-old horse was taken from trainer Wesley Perkins for $210,000 by trainer Richard Donaldson on behalf of Alvin Scharschmidt.

Also claimed in this race was MEDICAL ACCOUNT, who failed to supplement Wednesday's victory, finishing third. The eight-year-old son of The Medic-Caribbean Slew was also picked up for $210,000 by trainer Tony Kirlew on behalf of Barrington Miller.

In the eighth race won by highly fancied CHOSEN ONE, marginal favourite YAMASHITA'S GOLD was claimed for $260,000 by trainer Wilfred Chin on behalf of Wayne Wilson. In this race, claims (one each) for both CHOSEN ONE and the runner-up WINNING MESSAGE were deemed void.

STATE PRINCE, who won the ninth race for the James B. Dawes Memorial Trophy, was taken from trainer Neive Graham for $315,000 by trainer Harry Parsard for himself. The final four claims came in the closing straight five race won by 6-5 favourite IN THE PRIME. The four-year-old filly was taken from champion trainer Wayne DaCosta for $170,000 by trainer Wilfred Chin on behalf of Royal Stables.

RISING MOON was also claimed for $170,000 by trainer Paul Fung for Donovan Plummer, LANNY GIRL for $170,000 by trainer Tyrone Prince on behalf of Samuel McCarty and MISS ATLANTIC STAR for $170,000 by trainer Devon Vanriel for himself.
