Treat love like a delicate rose
published: Monday | February 11, 2008

THE EDITOR, Sir:

As we all know Valentine's Day is coming up and I want to let everyone know that they should appreciate what they have. Treat that special person like a delicate rose, or it will fade or die over time.

Make sure to water that rose and give it a little sunshine and a little moonlight every now and then and, yes, lots of love, or else it will wither away before your eyes. Remember to do all this before it is too late because once it starts withering it will be hard to get it back to the state it once was in.

Love is a gift, share it with as many persons as possible, but make sure when you find that special someone, he or she gets more than he or she can manage.

Do little things to surprise him, do little things to make him laugh and he will never forget you, even if it does not last. Keep him wondering what is next and one day he will decide to spend the rest of his life with you; after all, a little spontaneity is always good. Surprise him.

I am, etc.,

SHERRY-ANN GRIZZLE
