In keeping with Sunday Business' commitment to keep you in the know, here are some more of the association heads in their various sectors.
FINANCE/INSURANCE
W. St. Elmo Whyte, president of the Caribbean Actuarial Association, was elected in December 2007 to serve for another two years. He will be succeeded by Jamaican Cathy Lyn, the president-elect.
Winston Cornelius has been president of the Loss Adjusters' Association of Jamaica for the past three years. In an office which has an indefinite term limit, the post will be up for elections again in December 2008.EDUCATION
Jamaica Independent Schools Association, a principal executive body overseeing preparatory and private high schools, is headed by President, Renée Rattray. She has held the position since September 2007. Elections are due this September, at which point Rattray may seek re-election.

Global Association of Risk Professionals, an organisation that deals with financial risk- management operation and credit risk, is currently headed by Dr Brian Langrin, the regional director.
SECURITY
Lieutenant Commander George Overton is outgoing president of the Jamaica Society for Industrial Security. Having served two consecutive years before, his second one-year stint expires in March at the next annual general meeting. Overton said he would not be seeking re-election.
REAL/ESTATE
The Association of Land Economy and Valuation Surveyors has as its president Clinton Cunningham. Cunningham has been the president since 2005 in an office that allows a two-year term. Cunningham is eligible for re-election in March and said he would run again.The Hardware Merchants' Association of Jamaica enjoys the solid leadership of Errol Salkey as chairman of that group. He has been chairman for little more than two years in a post without any term limit. Elections are due in March.
SERVICES

Desmond Richards is president of the Press Association of Jamaica. He was re-elected last September to serve for another year after heading the association for three consecutive years. The post has no term limit but it is said that Richards may not opt for re-election.
The Book Industry Association of Jamaica is chaired by Dorothy Noel, whose one-year term in office expires in May.

Richard Burgher is president of the Jamaica Minority Shareholders' Association.

Andrew Rousseau became the president of the Advertising Agencies Association of Jamaica (AAAJ) in January. He will serve for a year in the office.
