So many parties, so very little time. If when one takes to the skies these days for these bicoastal happenings, there is simply not enough hours to fit in all the hot and happening dos between fabulous Port Antonio and racy Negril. Alas! What is a scribe to do but apologise for missing out on that smasheroni of a shindig on the weekend!
Now, my dears, it's definitely the age of the beautiful people, and then some, as the absolutely fabulous Carla Seaga celebrated her birthday on Monday. It was quite the intimate affair as hubby, former prime minister Edward Seaga, made it a fab little twosome, and then some!
Milestone of a celebration

Also celebrating the age of the beautiful people is businessman and former parliamentarian, O.T. Williams, two Sundays ago with a smasheroni at his upper St Andrew residence. And, my dears, the buzz is it was all that and then some. This was a milestone of a celebration and so it was all systems go, as friends and family pulled out all the stops.
Belated birthday wishes, too, to the reigning, the iconic, cultural ambassador, Professor Rex Nettleford, who celebrated his birthday on Sunday.
The gorgeous Aloima Suarez jetted in from her holiday in Cuba in time for her own birthday celebrations, as today she will blow out the candles on her cake with her beau and a shortlist of hand-picked friends at her golden triangle condo.
Tomorrow, that dish of fabulousness, Audrey Miller, has an intimate rendezvous all planned.
On Valentine's Day, however, it will be a double celebration for the oh-so-elegant and gorgeous Romae Gordon, as this former runway goddess will be celebrating her birthday and then some. Dovecakes, it promises to be a fabulously intimate number.
Then, my dears, it's all the buzz in St Andrew and Ireland, as the word is David and Liz Hall are expecting their first bundle of joy from the stork, in mid-June. And so, plans for the shower are well under way, and promises to be a fine outing.
Following upon her success in Hollywood, the glamorous Melanie Ghisays will be jetting in for a few days of R&R in early March. Also jetting in over the next week is the fabulous Louise Valle, wife of Canada's former first citizen here, High Commissioner (ret.) Claudio Valle, for a break from the snow of her homeland. Anders Jones takes a break from Stanford this weekend, for a few days here in the sun.
Investment possibilities

And speaking of fabulous people, well, expect the next wave of Russians soon, as billionaire Michael Boettcher jetted into destination Jamaica last week on his private jet, to scout investment possibilities here on the rock.
Hosted by his long-time friend, businessman Kenny Benjamin, Boettcher parked his flying mansion at the Norman Manley International Airport and took a helicopter and criss-crossed the island from Port Antonio to Negril, doing a double take in Montego Bay, as he scoured the island from above, for possible sites for his expected multimillion-dollar investment(s).
My dears, more anon, definitely.
And still speaking of fabulous people, word is that legendary screen icon, Omar Shariff, is expected here in mid-March or early April, to lend his celebrity and cache to the very worthy charitable causes of the Chain of Hope Jamaican charities. More anon here, as this one promises to be a gala of fabulous proportions!
