So the children will not cry
published: Friday | February 8, 2008

The Editor, Sir:

I am an American and I truly love and understand Bob's message to his people in his music.

We are starting a non-profit organisation for the children of Jamaica. His song about Trench Town inspired me as he said, "Don't let the children cry."

I love Jamaica and its people. For 18 years I was drawn back time and time again. Finally, when the Holy Spirit pierced me I knew why - it was to help the people, especially the children.

I know Bob Marley knew as I do, all we need is in our soul. That part of us that will live forever with our heavenly Father. God loved Bob so much He had to bring him back home much too soon for the rest of us when that beautiful man was silenced.

But his music and message are still here if only we will listen. Happy birthday, Bob, see you there.

Royal blessings to all of Jamaica.

I am, etc.,
