Wanted: Help!

1. They were best friends and then one went to the other seeking financial assistance to tide her over during a real estate transaction. Well, the friend rose to the occasion and loaned her more than $500,000 that was supposed to be returned on the completion of the transaction. Well, that was a couple of years ago. Now the lender is seeking help!

Business decision

2. Some customers, it seems, have decided to take their patronage elsewhere!

Unhappy relatives

3.As the story goes: Three children came together and pooled their resources and invested in one of the popular investment schemes. When word got out that the scheme was in trouble, it was agreed the eldest would handle the negotiations with the investment manager to close out their portfolio. Well, the appointed relative met with the manager and requested the return of the investment; the manager told him that he could only repay some of the initial outlay. He agreed to accept the offer, only he took all of his money from the sum turned over and gave the remainder to his relatives to split the difference. Needless to say, they are not happy at all!

Annoying collectors

4.Her friends say they can't understand why she is so broke as, firstly, she is a notorious 'klepto'. Secondly, she has a vast real estate portfolio. So the question they are asking is: What happened to the money? In the meantime, the collectors are a source of discomfort to neighbours.

Mounting problems

5.On top of everything else he seems to have an offshore business problem.

Cold treatment

6.Some former dancers/paid escorts, who have gone on to marry some prominent men, have been getting the cold treatment lately, as other wives are not gung-ho about being chummy with these former nightclub acts.

New money

7.With some sources of financing now in question, the talk is, new sources of funding will have to be found before a certain coming event.

Is he the same one?

8.It was the Good Book that said 'the fool and his money are soon parted', and that aptly explains how the con man bilked people out of millions with his gift of gab and the tailored look and talk about money in offshore accounts. Wasn't he the same one who years ago made promises to the top-class event?

Who is she?

9.How can they not tell that the lady is one of their own disgruntled people?

Expansion plans

10.The business suffered a severe setback after the expansion plans were thrown into disarray, when the wife was stopped at the airport and thousands of U.S. currency was confiscated. She obviously has never heard of a wire transfer. Anyway, the local business should reopen pretty soon.
