Jamaica's cricket coach, Junior Bennett, has expressed satisfaction with his team's performance after they whipped Guyana by eight wickets at Sabina Park yesterday to register their third straight win in the Carib Beer Series win.
After yesterday's impressive three-day triumph Jamaica are now sole leaders of the competition on 36 points, breaking away from Barbados, who were shocked by Combined Campuses and Colleges yesterday.
Bennett said the team is improving."Definitely, it's a good start to our campaign," were his first remarks. "There are some areas of our cricket, especially in our fast bowling department that we are extremely pleased about in this match."
"With the fast bowlers bowling well it brought some stability to our attack." Meanwhile, Guyana's captain Ramnaresh Sarwan was a disappointed man after his team's third straight defeat. "We haven't batted that well throughout the tournament and we have not bowled that well. We need to get better and improve," he lamented after earlier defeats to Trinidad & Tobago and Barbados.
